Do you have some spare time & want to do something worthwhile? Please consider donating your time to the Museum. It can be a very worthwhile, treasured experience. Volunteering for us offers many benefits, as well, including:

  • Free admission to lectures and events
  • Volunteer recognition reception
  • Meeting new people & learning new skills
  • Knowing your free time is spent for a good cause

We need help with:

Newsletter Creation — Brush up those writing skills, share your talents for layout and help us put out the newsletter "The Towpath".
Museum & Canal Tours — Help with our three hour educational program for 1st to 5th grade school classes on the D&H Canal and the Lenni Lenape (we have over 4,000 children attend our programs each year!). Create educational activities, contact schools, give guided walks along the Canal, hands on work with artifacts from the Museum collection, and more.
Collections Care — Learn as you clean. Housekeeping was never more fun! Help keep the wonderful artifacts in our collection in tip-top shape.
Gardening — Our large herb garden and Lenape "Three-Sisters Garden" are a great opportunity to get your hands in the dirt and help the Museum.
Museum Store — Kids and adults alike love our store. You will, too. Help us keep shelves stocked and customers happy.
